Earlier today, terrorists attacked a CISF patrol party in the Wagoora Nowgam area of Jammu and Kashmir, on the outskirts of Srinagar city. It has been reported that one CISF personnel has been injured. The area was cordoned off after the incident.
This incident is said to be the second terrorist attack of the day. The other attack happened on a CRPF patrol party in the Qaziabad area of Handwara, reports suggest.
Just hours after the Handwara Incident
On 2nd May, an encounter started between the terrorists and the forces in the Chanjumullah area of Handwara in Kupwara, North Kashmir. Two hostages were held by the terrorists, trying to protect whom, 5 personnel were martyred in the incident. Two terrorists, including top Pakistani Lashkar-e-Taiba leader Haider, were killed by the security forces. The attacks on Monday have happened just a few hours after the incident in Handwara.

Another attack at Handwara this morning
Earlier today, terrorists attacked a CRPF patrol party in Handwara. As per reports, 3 CRPF personnel lost their lives while 7 others were injured in the incident. After the attack, a search operation was conducted by security forces in Wangam, Kralgund of Handwara in North Kashmir. In another incident of the day, a CISF Patrol Party was attacked by terrorists in Wagoora Nowgam area on the outskirts of Srinagar city.
