Yash’s parents after his success
Kannada actor Yash is one of the most popular in the film Industry. He rose to fame all over the world for his blockbuster film KGF franchise and is known for his famous on-screen character Rocky Bhai. Recently, the actor had a conversation with Rajdeep Sardesai during the session titled ‘The Roc-KING star on winning hearts, smashing records and reigning supreme’, the actor spoke at length about how his parents responded after seeing the actor’s initial success in Kannada film industry.
Speaking at the India Today Conclave, Yash said, “Things never really changed for them (Yash’s parents). Because I remember my dad telling me one thing while I was enjoying the success of Mr. & Mrs. Ramachari, he said “Whatever respect people give you, for the industry, is fake. If I was a son of an already successful film star that was different. Now, every Friday you need to go out there and perform and try to maintain the respect because you are not done yet.”
Getting addicted to the stardom
“My parents never wanted to get addicted to my stardom. They hardly visited any of my film promotion events. They hardly visited once or twice while I was at the set, and it was only because they had some signature purpose. That’s how it was always been. Back home, even my friends behave normally with me,” he adds.
“Your work should give you that respect, and that’s what matters. And then later at home, you have to be the same normal person. If you don’t do this it is very difficult to think ahead,” concludes Yash.
