The attacks in Palestine have been disastrous and has called for attention from various outlets across the world. In the midst of this, a video of a 10-year-old-girl has surfaced, showing the effects of the destruction on innocent people in the middle.
The Clashes
It all started last week when the minor clashes between Israeli security forces and Palestinian protestors took a damaging turn. The Israeli police charged into the Al-Aqsa mosque compound purportedly to rein in the crowd. As the situation escalated, in response, Hamas fired rockets on several Israeli cities and the Israeli army started to retaliate. So far, Israel strikes have killed around 149 people including 41 children. Close to 1000 people have been left wounded, out of which many are minors.
‘I’m always sick. I can’t do anything. I’m only 10’
Amidst this, a video of a 10-year-old girl from the Gaza Strip has gone viral on social media. Nadine Abdel-Taif talks about her helplessness in the situation.
She says: “I’m always sick. I can’t do anything. I’m only 10. What am I supposed to do? Fix it? I’m only 10. I can’t even deal with this anymore. I just want to be a doctor or anything to help my people. But I can’t. I’m just a kid“. This video was reportedly shot by Middle East Eye in Gaza.

‘Why Do We Deserve This?’
The kid further says, “I get scared. I’d do anything for my people. But I don’t know what to do. Why do we deserve this? What did we do for this?”
However, the violence is not showing any signs of ending. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that Israel will continue to attack Hamas as long as necessary.
