FIFA World Cup 2022 kick-started on Sunday evening in Qatar. The opening ceremony was held at the Al Bayt Stadium to declare the tournament ‘open’ and the first game of the mega sports gala was contested between the hosts Qatar and Ecuador, at 9:30 pm. The visitors won by 2 goals to Nil in the first game.
