Dia Miza once again highlighted the ugly truth of Bollywood and how it is dominated by the male actors. We have often complained about how young actresses are cast opposite older men.

Like Salman Khan was seen romancing Disha Patani in Bharat and Akshay Kumar played Kiara Advani’s love interest in Laxmii Bomb.

Wonder if things will ever change or rather will there be same amount of work for the actress who grow older like the male actor who are in 50 plus and still play the lead role.

Dia Mirza who has done some remarkable job in the industry spoke about how bizarre it is to see older men romancing young girls.

The industry is male-dominated. Older men like to be cast opposite younger women to extend their own shelf life. It is bizarre that a 50 plus something actor is acting opposite a 19-year-old actress”.

She even hoped that one day the actress will also get good work like the men do in the industry, “I hope that this expression of female actors allows them to play the leading part even when they are older. But the unfortunate truth of the matter is that stories are not written for the female older characters as much as the male ones. It is even more unfortunate to see an older man playing younger parts.
