Raksha Bandhan Turned Out To Be Unfair
People across India celebrate the festival of Raksha Bandhan with great jest and zeal to honour the bond between brothers and sisters. But in a bizarre incident, a man tried to celebrate his bond with snakes this Rakhi. Reports inform that a snake charmer from Chhapra in Saran district of Bihar, tried to perform the Rakhi-tying ritual with a snake. In a video that is going viral on social media platforms, the snake charmer can be seen holding two snakes by their tails. While he was trying to put ‘Tika’ on one of the snakes, the other crawled slowly towards him and bit his foot. The man, who seemed to be rather clam in the video, was hospitalised after the snake bite.
Manmohan used to catch snakes and has been treating their wounds for more than a decade. Apart from this, he also used to treat hundreds of people from nearby villages who were suffering from snakebites. Shocked at the incident, people are refusing to believe that he died from a snake bite. Locals used to consider him as an environmental lover who used to catch snakes and release them in the forest. However this tragic incident saddened his lovers and left the whole village mourning on the day of Rakhi
Despite being an ardent environment lover his fate didn’t play fair; well its also our responsibility to celebrate the festivals and not including unnecessary fancies and rituals which could eventually hamper someone’s life.Celebrating festivals is always awesome but observing it wisely should be the first priority.
