Bengaluru Woman, Who Tested Positive On March 27th Is Four Months Old Pregnant

It has been revealed yesterday that a female resident of Bengaluru, who tested positive for the deadly Coronavirus on March 27th, is four months old pregnant.

88 Cases Reported in Karnataka So Far

88 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been reported in the state so far. Although the state stands third in the list of the highest number of cases in the country, with no cases reported in the capital city of Bengaluru in the last two days, Karnataka has somewhat recovered from the sudden panic.

One of the patients is 4-months old pregnant

A senior official from the Victoria Hospital has said that a 33-year-old, who had reportedly contracted the disease from her maid, is 4-months pregnant.

The official said:

“As of now, she’s the only pregnant woman in the state to have tested positive. We are treating her with the same protocol. There are people who are asking whether the child will be affected or not. There are no studies to prove this.”

The victim is currently undergoing treatment at the Victoria Hospital. It is said that she is asymptomatic and very much stable.

No studies have been done related to the condition of pregnant women with COVID-19

It seems to be the only such case reported in the country so far. While there does not seem to be any studies done so far that tells about the condition of the child, the patient, at the moment, is recovering well from the virus.
