Payal Ghosh revealed her horrific tale in an interview with ABN Telugu on Saturday. She said that Anurag Kashyap had once tried to force himself upon her. The actress later took to her social media to levy the allegations officially. She even tagged PM Modi and requested his interference in the matter.

Earlier today, speaking to ANI, Payal said: “He made me feel uncomfortable. I felt bad about it, whatever happened should not have happened. If someone approaches you for work, it does not mean the person is prepared for anything. I tried to say it before also but my family and friends stopped me. My family is very orthodox. I posted about this also on Twitter but was later forced to delete due to peer pressure.

Anurag Kashyap denied the allegations and said: “Wow, it took so long to try to silence me. You lied so much in this effort and also dragged other women despite you being a woman. Have some dignity madam! I will just say that all your allegations are baseless.

Twitter was quick to join the discussion as the hashtag #BelieveHer started trending on the platform. Many pointed out that the ‘feminists’ who had been very vocal till now had not come out to offer their opinion in this matter.

Tapsee Pannu was particularly criticized as she announced her support to Anurag on her Insta page. With the matter yet to even reach the court, Tapsee’s declaration was labeled as ‘hypocrisy’ and ‘double-standards’. The likes of Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhasker were tagged too.
