Vrithra, one of the most anticipated movies in Sandalwood is making its way to the theatres this Friday. There are plenty of aspects to look forward to from this movie but with the trailer that was released a few days ago, the expectations have been doubled. Gautham Iyer and team served us with a neatly cut trailer that provided insight into what the movie could be about, albeit, not revealing plenty about the plot.
Of the many things in the trailer that impressed us, here are 5 shots from the short video that we feel, have been composed to perfection and prove that we are in for a roller-coaster ride in front of the big-screen on the 11th of this month.
Watch the Trailer Here:
The only clue we are given about the title ‘Vrithra’ in the trailer is on a book that gets picked up by Indra Rao. Although this shot was brought to an abrupt end within the trailer, this sequence could come at a vital point inside the movie. The presence of this shot has definitely kept us waiting for the answers to be revealed.
2. 7 am or ….7 pm?
At the start of the trailer, the camera focusses on a wall-clock with the needles pointing at 7 ‘o clock’. Not sure whether it is at the day or night, this shot does impress for its aesthetic composition and choice of tone.
3. The ‘Mirror’ Shot
Auditya Venkatesh has played with the mirror on a couple of occasions but this particular frame impressed us the most. Probably set at a time while Indra Rao is on her job, we can expect to see more of such from Auditya’s lens on the big screen on this 11th of October.
4. The moment before the final flourish?
Soon after Prakash Belawadi’s intriguing dialogue ends, this shot appears in the trailer. Our guess is that Indra Rao cracks her mystery at this point.
5. The Workspace
What happens to be Indra Rao’s workspace, this shot makes an impression for the choice of lighting and colors. Of course, the background does add intriguing texture to the frame. Have the makers left a clever about Indra Rao’s pursuit in this shot? Well, that would be revealed only on Friday.
