According to producer Ritesh Sidhwani, the third installment of the action thriller “Don” starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan and directed by Farhan Akhtar is currently in the scripting stage. Sidhwani, actor-filmmaker Akhtar’s partner at production banner Excel Entertainment, stated that he is currently clueless about the plot details of the highly anticipated film.

Sidhwani speaks

“Till my partner (Farhan Akhtar) finishes writing it, we won’t do anything. Right now, he is in the phase of completing the script… Even all of us are eagerly waiting to see ‘Don’,” Sidhwani told PTI.

Excel Entertainment, owned by Akhtar and Sidhwani, purchased the rights to the 1978 film of the same name, starring Amitabh Bachchan, and remade it with Shah Rukh and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. The first “Don” film was released in 2006, and the second in 2011, with SRK and Priyanka reprising their roles. Akhtar directed both films.
