As Rishabh Pant Replaces Shikhar Dhawan, Ambati Rayudu Gets Unnecessarily Trolled

Recently Shikar Dhawan was ruled out of the ongoing tournament. Meanwhile, it was Rishab Pant who was all set to replace the left-hander and BCCI had also made a request to ICC to accept the replacement. Amongst all of this Ambati Rayudu is being unnecessarily trolled after the BCCI had announced Rishabh Pant as replacement of injured Shikhar Dhawan.

Rayadu’s previous 3D Glass remark

Before the world cup squad selection there was a wholesome debate about India’s 4th batting spot as to who will be the perfect batsman to suit the spot. However, fans felt that Ambati Rayudu has done enough to get picked in the squad. But BCCI had something else in their mind as they went for Vijay Shankar instead of experienced Raydu.

Rayudu had produced some consistent performances over the last few years batting at No. 4 but a dip in form combined with some eye-catching performances from Vijay Shankar prompted the selectors to make the tough call of dropping the Hyderabad batsman.

On asking about Raydu’s exclusion Chief selector MSK Prasad highlighted Vijay Shankar’s 3-dimensional attributes calling him a talented all-rounder. On the other hand, Rayudu made headlines as he took his disappointment to social media and wrote: “Just Ordered a new set of 3d glasses to watch the world cup,” mocking MSK Prasad’s statement.

Fans’ unnecessary trolls

As for now, Rishab Pant has been selected over injured Dhawan, a lefty with another one, at some point, Ambati Rayadu would be disappointed again as he was not even considered once for the possible replacement. Fans think Hyderabad batsman had produced some consistent performances over the last few years batting at No. 4, and he had done enough to prove a worthy player in the squad. But some fans decided to go other way and hilariously trolled him after Pant was selected.
