All You Need To Know About Swamy Nithyananda’s Mysterious Island

Browsing Twitter you might be wondering why the self-proclaimed godman Nithyananda is trending. Well, the answer is simple– the fugitive and self-styled guru is up for something new. This time it’s not a new Ashram, but it’s a whole nation that he has created for him and his people. You read it right, Swami Nithyananda is planning to buy a private island for himself in Ecuador, S.America to have his separate world. Jaw droped already?

KAILAASA, a separate world

The source also said that this little country named ‘KAILAASA’ will have its own Prime Minister and Cabinet who will be approving for citizenship. For now, it turns out to be just a website that describes this proposed country as ‘a nation without borders created by dispossessed Hindus from around the world who lost the right to practice Hinduism authentically in their own countries’.

Kailaasa is a private island, which Nithyananda believed to be bought from Ecuador, a country on South America’s west coast, near Trinidad and Tobago. The mysterious island ‘nation’ has no place for Hindi as mentions only English, Sanskrit, and Tamil as official languages. It even claims to have a population of 100 million Adi Shaivites and 2 billion practicing Hindus.

Separate Flag and Passport

According to the website, the nation even has its passport and flag named as Rishabha Dhvaja and the passport allows “free entry in all eleven dimensions and fourteen lokas, including Kailaasa.

To make it more bizarre, the godman’s nation has a national animal (Nandi, a bull), a national bird (Sharabam, a mythological creature that resembles a lion with wings), national flower(lotus) and tree(banyan).

The website was created on October 21, 2018, and it was last updated on October 10, 2019. According to the website, Kailasaa also has its cabinet comprising departments such as health, technology, enlightened civilization, human services, housing, commerce, and treasury. The Kailaasa stands for universal free healthcare, free education, free food, and the revival of temple-based lifestyle, says the website.

Well, it is unknown about when and how did Nithyananda purchased the island or if the nation existed. But one thing is clear that he has something very big in his mind. Not to forget, the godman has several cases under his name which includes rape, torture, kidnapping and wrongful confinement of children, under the Indian Penal Code (IPC). On November 20, Swamy Nithyananda fled India after a case was registered against him on rape and child abuse charges.
