After Tapsee, Now Vidya Balan Supports Rhea Against Media Trials

After her recent startling interviews, Rhea Chakraborty expressed how she wanted people who know her well to come out and support her during this trying time.

The actress, who is named as the prime suspect in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, shared how the term ‘normal life’ is now a luxury for both her and her family, and how she just wants to get through a day when she doesn’t have to see her mom get a panic attack.

Soon, actress Lakshmi Manchu came in support of Rhea and addressed the issue of ‘media trial’ and the social media ‘lynching’ of a person and their family. Besides her, even Taapsee Pannu voiced her opinion on the same and expressed solidarity with Rhea on how, even though she knew neither Sushant nor Rhea personally, criticized the ability of people to convict someone before proven guilty.

Earlier today, Vidya Balan was the third celeb to support Rhea. She thanked Lakshmi Manchu for talking about the issue without mincing her words. Taking to Twitter, Vidya’s statement urged people to respect the constitutional rights of a citizen and to let the law take its course in giving the final verdict.

Her post read, “God bless you @LakshmiManchu for saying this out loud. It is so unfortunate that the tragic untimely death of a beloved young star Sushant Singh Rajput has become a media circus. In the same breath, as a woman, my heart breaks at the vilification of Rhea Chakraborty. Isn’t it supposed to be ‘Innocent Until Proven Guilty’, or is it now ‘Guilty Until Proven Innocent’!? Let’s show some respect for the constitutional rights of a citizen and let the law take its course.”
