Post the death of the actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Bollywood producer, and filmmaker Karan Johar has been on the receiving end of hate and abuses for allegedly being indirectly responsible for Sushant’s mental illness.
The debate of nepotism has been following Karan Johar for over two years now and the Sushant’s death has only amplified it. Karan had reportedly gone off social media and had refrained from posting anything on social media. He had unfollowed many celebrities and there were reports of him quitting the Mumbai Academy of Moving Images board too.
As per the new report, Karan Johar has reportedly opened a new Instagram account which is a private one. The private account seems to be the one for his close friends and family. The account which had 21 followers including Gauri Khan, Shweta Bachchan, and Suhana Khan among others has now been disabled. The account had only one post.
Backlash For Attending Birthday Party
Recently Karan Johar was grilled on social media for attending the birthday celebration of Neetu Kapoor. The picture posted by Neetu Kapoor also had Ranbir Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Samaira and the Bachchans. Karan was also trolled severely after reports of his friend revealed that he was a broken man and is becoming hard for him to cope with the hate he has been receiving. After people spotted him in the birthday celebrations of Neetu Kapoor, people were quick to question if he is actually depressed.
According to media reports, Karan Johar’s friend has come out in support of Johar and cleared the air about his appearance in Neetu Kapoor’s bash. As per the friend, Karan attended the Birthday bash because of Ranbir and Alia who forced him to attend. Karan is close to Alia and Ranbir and he considers them as precious, his friend told. When Ranbir and Alia insisted he to join them for a small get-together, Karan initially rejected. But they persuaded him dearly and he couldn’t say no to them.
