After the news of Tedros Adhanom’s gross inaction towards China has taken the internet by the storm, some have gone a step ahead and created a petition on www.change.org which demands the resignation of Tedros Adhanom, who is currently the Director-General of WHO.

On 14th January, WHO tweeted that they found no evidence of human-to-human transmission of Covid-19 but the infection had already, by then, spread to South Korea, Thailand and the United States of America.

The petition reads that surfaced this morning, reads: “A lot of us are really disappointed, we believe WHO is supposed to be politically neutral. Without any investigation, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus solely believes in the death and infected numbers that the Chinese government provided with them.”

The petition also wants Taiwan to be included in WHO and their decisions and maintains that Taiwan’s “technologies are far more advanced than some of the countries on the “selected WHO list”.

Tedros Adhanom has also been accused of supporting and covering up the spread of COVID-19 and people all over social media and the world are enraged and potentially want him to go through human rights investigation. The sentiments towards WHO and China worsened when people found out that China repeatedly tried to hide and stop its own citizens from sharing news about coronavirus with the world, one of the prime examples being Dr Li Wenliang.
