Who said percentage is unimportant?? While it might not matter when applying for jobs, it is unquestionably important when looking for a rental flat in Bengaluru. Now, a Bengaluru man’s tweet about how his cousin was turned down for a rental because he didn’t earn 90 percent of the possible points in class 12 has gone viral.

In his Twitter post, the user shared a WhatsApp conversation between the tenant and the broker. “Marks don’t decide your future, but they definitely decide whether you get a flat in Bangalore or not,” Shubh tweeted.

“I can’t believe my cousin brother got denied for a rented flat by owner cause he got 76% in class 12th & owner was expecting atleast 90%,” he wrote.

Poor Class 12 results

The Broker, in the screenshot, earlier informed the tenant Yogesh that his profile was approved by the owner. He then requested that he share his LinkedIn and Twitter profiles, as well as his Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, as well as his Pan and Aadhar cards. Not only that but Yogesh was also asked to write a 150-200 word essay about himself.

However, after reviewing his grades, the owner refused to rent him the house due to his poor Class 12 results.
