Salman Khan’s cameo as Tiger in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan is being touted as one of the best in years. However, it is the last scene they share that has left the fans to think.
‘Par humari jagah lega kaun?’
In Pathaan, which is seeing huge numbers at the Box Office collection, Shah Rukh Khan, alongside Salman Khan, not only provided the audience with a great dose of entertainment but also gave us one of the most epic scenes of all time.
In the ending scene, Pathaan who is siting besides Tiger mentions, “Main bhi kabhi kabhi sochta hoon, 30 saal ho gaye hai. Ab hume chhod dena chahiye. (Sometimes I feel it’s been 30 years, now we should retire).” “Par humari jagah lega kaun? (But who will take our place?),” comes Tiger’s reply. They think of a few names before concluding, “Hum e karna padega, baccho pe nahi chhod sakte (we will have to do it, we can’t leave it on these kids).”

Well, the jibe clearly denotes the newcomers in the film industry who are trying to take the stardom that Salman and Shah Rukh carry in Bollywood. It might sound like mockery or sarcastic dialogue, but it really makes sense at some point.
Both superstars do have an acting career spanning over 30 years. While there are a number of entertainers who have come and been a part of the industry, none could achieve this ‘superstardom’ that the Khans have. In fact, while some actors would be terrified of trends like ‘Boycott Bollywood’, it would take someone like Shah Rukh Khan, or Salman Khan to just give it back to the doubters.
But, the world evolves, and they can’t stay here forever. There will be times when Khans would have to hang their boots and call it off from acting. So who might take their place and who can be the next superstars of Bollywood? Let’s find out.
Kartik Aaryan
Kartik who became quite well-known with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and delivered a 200-crore blockbuster last year, has now become quite a hot property in the industry. He is not a strong actor, but no one can deny his big stardom at this point. If we talk solely about stardom, he is amongst the top of his generation and a superstar in the making.
Rajkummar Rao
Arguably one of the country’s finest actors, Rajkummar Rao is one performer who can pull off any role in any genre with effortless ease. He is an institution of acting in himself. He has always succeeded as he makes his choices on picking versatile scripts. Surely he is the next superstar in making.
Ayushmann Khurrana
Ayushman Khurrana is a self-made personality who doesn’t belong to any filmy fraternity or godfather. He is the first roadie show winner, a good anchor, a good singer, and a good actor above all. With a predilection for choosing the right scripts and shining with his performances in them, this Delhi boy is truly the Next Big Thing in Bollywood.
Vicky Kaushal
The next actor who can have the same stardom as Khans in the future is Vicky Kaushal. He earned critical acclaim for his portrayal of Udham Singh in the biopic Sardar Udham (2021), winning the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor. Time and again Kaushal has proven to be one of Bollywood’s best finds yet!
Ishaan Khatter
The 27-year-old acting in Dhadak, Beyond The Clouds, and Phone Bhoot, proves that this kid has potential and this young star-kid should prove to be the dark horse of the industry.
Tiger Shroff
Tiger Shroff is a Bollywood actor and the most expected upcoming superstar of Bollywood. Tiger started his movie career with the Bollywood hit film Heropanti. Then he never looked back and was given many super hit films. Some of his best hits include Baaghi, Munna Michael, Baaghi-2, Students of the year 2, Baaghi 3, and War. He could be the next big thing in Bollywood.
