Karan Johar has given his verdict on Pathaan. He lauded the Shah Rukh Khan starrer movie and had strong words to say about Bollywood as a whole.
Karan Johar’s ‘Glamorizing’ review
2022 was not a particularly good year for Bollywood as several big-ticket films flunked and the industry faced criticism from all corners, especially when South Films were doing well. Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan opened to a roaring response at the box office on its opening day, January 25, giving the Hindi Cinema a reason to delight. Karan Johar has now reviewed Pathaan and given a shout-out to the film and Bollywood in general.
On Wednesday Karan Johar hailed the team behind Pathaan and called the film the ‘biggest blockbuster’. His post on Instagram read: “I don’t remember when I last had such a fun time at the movies!!!! This one’s just the biggest blockbuster !!! Mega is the word!!! The charm, charisma , superstardom, desirability and sheer brilliance of @iamsrk … the hottest , beautiful and sensationally gorgeous agent you will ever find @deepikapadukone the sexiest and most desirable villain @thejohnabraham!!! Brilliantly directed and conceptualised by SID ANAND! He knows how to mount a film like very few can…. I am so so so proud of my BFF the invisible ADITYA CHOPRA!!! You may never see him! But his vision and brilliance is insurmountable!”
Saving Bollywood
KJo further complimented SRK and said he loves Bollywood despite the fact that it faces a boycott. He added, “And as for the KING! He went nowhere he just waited for the right time to RULE! Love you bhai @iamsrk !!! Love you Adi! And love you BOLLYWOOD! You may have been slandered and “boycotted” but no one can deny that when you come into your own no one can stand in your way! PATHAAN MUBARAK to alll!!!! ( no spoiler but the Best sequence of the film is with BHAI and BHAIJAAN) I stood up and clapped!!!!!” With ‘Bhaijaan’, Karan is referring to Salman Khan’s much-talked-about cameo in the film which fans are celebrating.
Pathaan is a spy-thriller, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film revolves around a secret agent who undertakes a dangerous mission. The film stars Deepika Padukone as the leading lady. John Abraham plays the antagonist, while Salman Khan reprises his role as Tiger from the Tiger franchise. Pathan is currently playing in theatres worldwide in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
