Bollywood is often associated with luxury and glamour. Celebrities living in their oversized houses and attending sparkling parties is an idea we consider in the film industry.
However, not all celebrities are like what we think. Some don’t mind leaving behind their glamorous options to get down dirty with household duties and other jobs like farming. Some may be even doing greater jobs in this rather than acting on screen.
Here are a few Bollywood celebs who are good at farming rather than acting:
Salman Khan
The ‘Bhai’ of Bollywood, apart from acting, does his farm work in a huge farmhouse in Panvel where he adores being one with nature through farming and spending time with his horses. Not only this, he has hosted several parties for family and friends at the farmhouse.
Shilpa Shetty
Not all know but Shilpa Shetty also enjoys farming, so much that she has even taught her son some organic farming techniques. Shilpa’s fans have often shared snippets of her farming activities on social media.
Preity Zinta
It’s surprising fact that Bollywood’s most gorgeous diva has learned the basics of farming and gardening from her mother — a learning she is extremely appreciative of. She also has her own organic farm and often takes to Social Media to post images of her freshly produced crops.
Kangana Ranaut
The actress, who has often surrounded herself with some unwanted criticism, Kangana Ranaut recently revealed that her mother single-handedly grows almost everything; one might need in a kitchen. According to her, she spent her quality time during the lockdown in her ancestral home in Manali, where she helped her mother in farming.
Rajesh Kumar
The 47-year-old, who made his career-best performance with the iconic TV comedy Sarabhai VS Sarabhai, has now shifted to farming. He has been farming in Bihar for a while now and uses less budget for farming, refusing chemicals and only using organic options. More than an actor he describes himself as a ‘farmer by choice’ and has an organic food delivery business called ‘Mera Family Farmer’.
Prakash Raj
Prakash Raj, who is known for doing negative roles in Bollywood films, shares a lot of posts about his farm called Prakasham. He bought a few acres of land about a few years ago to plant trees and has been growing vegetables and grains there.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui
The actor, before his entry into Bollywood, was a Farmer. Even after his success in Hindi Films, he has not quit farming. It is said that, when he is not acting, he is tilling soil on his farms in Uttar Pradesh. He often shares glimpses from the mustard fields owned by his family.
Jackie Shroff
Apart from acting, Jackie Shroff is also a farmer and speaker on environmental issues. He owns a 44,000 square feet farmhouse located between Mumbai and Pune. His social media accounts are filled with posts and videos about his passion for gardening, animals, insects, and homegrown vegetables.
