All three former international cricketers work for Transdev, which employs more than 1,200 employees and offers transport services to the people residing in the city. Former Sri Lankan spinner Suraj Randiv and Chinthaka Jayasinghe drive passengers around the city. Former Zimbabwean cricketer Waddington Mwayenga is also working as a bus driver.

Srilankan Suraj Randiv

Having made his debut in December 2009, Suraj Randiv played for Sri Lanka until 2016 but the games were few and far. The off-spinner only played 12 Tests, 31 ODIs, and 17 T20Is, picking up 43, 36, and seven wickets respectively.

Apart from doing well in international cricket, Randiv also made his way to the IPL. He was bought by MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings in 2011 and he went on to play eight games, taking six wickets.

All three former cricketers are reportedly settled in Melbourne and make their living by driving the bus. Also, the Australian transport minister said that there can be any famous popular personality on the driving seat of the Transdev bus. Even many passengers sometimes recognize the cricketers and interact with them.
