Shah Rukh Khan fans dug out an old video of the Bollywood Baadshah where he can be heard talking about entering Hollywood. This comes amid the controversy around Mahesh Babu’s statement about joining Bollywood.
SRK’s old Video
A few days back, Mahesh Babu started a controversy when he said that he feels that ‘Bollywood can’t afford him’. Various actors have since then responded to his comments and the South star later issued a clarification on the same. Amidst all this, fans have dug up an old video of Shah Rukh Khan in which he can be seen describing why he can’t join Hollywood.
In the video, SRK is seen addressing a Press Conference in 2008 in Berlin, Germany. When asked about his Hollywood plans, the actor humbly says that he feels he isn’t talented enough.
He says, “My English is not good, If they give me a role of a dumb person who doesn’t speak, maybe. I am not trying to be modest but I am 42 years old, I am little brown, and I don’t have any special USP as an actor. I don’t know Kung fu, I don’t dance the Latin salsa, I am not tall enough. I think anyone who is my age in the western world, I have seen recent films of Europe, films of what you call ‘the dream factory’, I think there is no space for me. There is no place for me because I don’t think I am that talented.”

He concludes by saying that instead of being a part of Hollywood, he would love to bring Indian cinema to the world. He says, “So I would like to continue doing work in India and, hopefully, I will take Indian cinema to the world. That’s the ambition I have.”

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan recently started the shoot of ‘Dunki’ with Rajkumar Hirani. This ambitious project features Taapsee Pannu opposite SRK and is reportedly an immigration drama. Apart from this, the actor will also be seen in an action entertainer ‘Pathaan’ with Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, and has also signed up for Atlee’s next with Nayanthara.
