KGF 2 Overtakes Dangal: Top Two ‘Hindi’ Films Are Now From Telugu And Kannada Industries

The Hindi version of KGF: Chapter 2 has surpassed Aamir Khan’s Dangal in India. The Yash-starrer has added another feather to its cap.

KGF 2 beats Dangal 

The Hindi version of the film has zoomed past Aamir Khan’s Dangal lifetime collection. Prashanth Neel’s directional KGF Chapter 2 has collected a whopping Rs 391 crore in 21 days and is now the second-highest-grossing Hindi film after SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Conclusion. According to analysts, soon, KGF 2 Hindi will cross the Rs 400 crore mark in India.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news and wrote, “BIGGG NEWS… #KGF2 surpasses #Dangal *lifetime biz*… NOW, 2ND HIGHEST GROSSING *HINDI* FILM… Glorious march towards ? 400 cr begins… [Week 3] Fri 4.25 cr, Sat 7.25 cr, Sun 9.27 cr, Mon 3.75 cr, Tue 9.57 cr, Wed 8.75 cr. KGF in Hindi belt

The film starrig Yash, KGF 2 was released in theatres on April 14 in five languages. The film opened to overwhelming reviews and is now marching towards Rs 1100 crore worldwide. KGF 2 had earlier become the highest-earning film in the Hindi belt on its opening day, its opening weekend, and opening week as well.

Prabhas-starrer Baahubali 2: The Conclusion had minted an impressive Rs 510.99 crore in Hindi, while Dangal had collected an impressive Rs 387.38 crore.

While KGF 2 might have topped Dangal as far as collections in the Hindi belt are concerned, the Aamir Khan film still reigns supreme on the worldwide collections list of Indian films at the box office. Dangal’s worldwide earning is Rs 2024 crore, Baahubali 2’s minted Rs 1,810 cr, and KGF 2 stands at 4th number with its Rs 1,056 cr collection.
