Actress Yami Gautam whose recent film ‘Dasvi’ was released on Netflix on April 7 has strongly responded to a review on her performance done by a critic from Anupama Chopra’s Film Companion.
Yami was dismayed by the review and called it ‘disrespectful’ and ‘heartbreaking’. The film, which also stars Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur, was released on Netflix and Jio Cinema on April 7. Yami plays a cop in Dasvi, a social comedy that highlights the importance of education.
On Twitter, Yami mentioned that she is open to formative criticism but not when a platform consistently tries to pull her down.
