Viral Video: Delhi Capitals’ Bus Attacked In Mumbai, Police Registers FIR

On Wednesday, Mumbai Police informed that a group of troublemakers had reportedly attacked the parked Delhi Capitals team bus.

Moving swiftly, the Colaba Police Station sent a team and arrested five persons in connection with the incident. Police told that they had issued an FIR regarding troublemakers and had promised to take strict actions against them.

“An FIR has been booked under sections 143,147,149,427 of the IPC against 5-6 some protesters for allegedly attacking the Delhi Capital IPL team’s parked bus,” ANI tweeted.

As per reports, before midnight, around half-a-dozen protesters tiptoed near the bus, stuck posters of their demands on the front of the bus, raised slogans and began smashing the windows.

The protesters said that they were protesting at how buses from outside the state were hired for the IPL tourney, denying the locals of employment opportunities though they can provide similar vehicles as needed.

“Despite our protests, they have permitted several buses and other smaller vehicles here from Delhi and other parts, which is influencing the livelihood of the local Marathi people,” a protester told.

Meanwhile, team Delhi Capitals is staying at the Taj Palace, a hotel located in the Colaba area of ​​Mumbai. The members of the Rishabh Pant-led team are arriving in Mumbai to begin their practices for the upcoming IPL 2022, starting March 26. The Delhi franchise will play their opening game of the tournament against five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians on March 27 at Brabourne Stadium.
