Munawar Faruqui the controversial stand-up comedian had recently posted an Instagram story where he claimed that over the past few months he had lost many stage shows and is finally deciding to quit comedy. Many came up in his support while many opposed his agendas and jokes believing that it hurts religious sentiments. Twelve shows of Munawar Faruqui got cancelled in two months because of the threats from Hindutva groups. The comedian had spent a month in jail for a joke that he apparently didn’t crack during his show in Indore that led to the brawl.
