The farmer’s protest has now reignited to the national level after Lakhimpur Kheri violence have broke out. When the Mishra’s are fighting in deception with Money and power the poor farmers have now united to announce a nationwide protest for justice. The decision was taken by the farmers protesting to abolish the centre’s three farm laws in order to pay tribute to those four farmers who lost their lives.
Shaheed Kisaan Diwas Observed Today
Farmers protesting against the Centre’s three farm laws will observe ‘Shaheed Kisan Diwas’ on Tuesday to pay tribute to the four farmers who lost their lives in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence, the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) said in a statement on Monday. “October 12th (tomorrow) will be marked as Shaheed Kisan Diwas all over India on SKM’s call. Tomorrow, the ‘antim ardas’ of the martyrs of Lakhimpur Kheri massacre will take place in Tikunia at Sahebjada Inter College. Preparations are being made for the same and tens of thousands of farmers are expected to join this prayer meeting,” said SKM, an umbrella body of about 40 farmer organisations.
The farmers’ body expressed its dismay at no action being taken against Union minister and BJP MP Ajay Mishra, whose vehicle allegedly ran over the farmers at Lakhimpur Kheri. “It is shameful on the part of the Modi government that Ajay Mishra Teni has not been sacked yet. It was his vehicles that were in the convoy that killed innocent people,” the SKM said.
Ashish Mishra Remanded
The Uttar Pradesh police on Monday got three-day custody of Ashish Mishra, the son of Union minister of state for home affairs Ajay Kumar Mishra ‘Teni’, for his alleged role in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence. The court of chief judicial magistrate Chinta Ram allowed Uttar Pradesh the custody of Ashish Mishra between October 12 and October 15.
The Uttar Pradesh police arrested Ashish Mishra on Saturday despite his attempts to evade the law enforcement agencies. He was then interrogated for nearly 12 hours following which a local court remanded him to judicial custody for 14 days. However despite all these progressions happening it seems that Ashish will be set free in no time as the history is evident for the Gupta case against his father Ajay Mishra in 2000 in which he was acquitted with no charges against him.
