1) Pratyusha Banerjee
The actress who played Anandi in ‘Balika Vadhu’, died on April 1, 2016, at the age of 24. She was found hanging at her Goregaon residence. The actress was rushed to a hospital in Andheri by her live-in boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh where she was declared brought dead.
2) Sushant Singh Rajput
He died on June 14, 2020. He was found dead at his home in Bandra, his body hanging from a ceiling fan. Suicide was said to be the cause of death and the postmortem report concluded that Rajput died of asphyxia due to hanging.
3) Jiah Khan
She was found dead at her Mumbai apartment in 2013 at the age of 25. Though her death was ruled to be a suicide, her mother, Rabiya, had alleged she was murdered.
4) Divya Bharti
It’s been 28 years since Divya Bharti faced a tragic death, having passed away on April 5, 1993, at the age of 19. She fell from the balcony of her residence in Mumbai and was declared dead soon after.
5) Sanjeev Kumar
A National Award winner, the versatile Sanjeev Kumar had been another of the Bollywood actors who died young. A class apart from the other actors, Kumar portrayed diverse roles in as many diverse genres with elan. An accomplished actor, widely hailed as among the greatest Indian cinema has ever produced, Kumar worked for 25 long years in the industry, He died a 48 year old man after suffering a massive heart attack.
6) Rasika Joshi
A talented actress who starred in Marathi films and television serials, Rasika Joshi also had appeared in popular Bollywood films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Ek Hasina Thi, De Taali, Malamaal Weekly and some more. Joshi succumbed to leukemia in 2011 when she was just 38 years old.
7) Madhubala
Celebrated in life as much for her exquisite beauty as for her enduring legacy in films, Madhubala has been one of the most iconic Bollywood actresses ever. Her exemplary fame however came to be short lived in person as Madhubala passed away in 1969 at the age of 36 owing to some long standing medical complication of the heart and lungs.
8) Irfan Khan
Irrfan Khan had been one of the finest actors in Indian cinema in the three and a half decades he had been following his passion.The 53 years old talented actor passed away in 2020 of a colon infection after a couple of years of treatment for a rare neuroendocrine tumour.
