On the Weekend Ka War episode of Bigg Boss 14, the actor took a dig at a news anchor, who had been inquiring about the whereabouts of Salman, demanding him to break his silence on the death of Sushant Singh Rajput.

Speaking to Bigg Boss participants, Salman Khan said, “Bigg Boss ke andar ya kisi bhi show ke andar, you have to play the right game. Yeh nahi ki TRP ke liye kuch bhi khelo. Bahut achcha ja rahe ho tum log. From Day-1, I have never seen the response you are getting. To make it bigger and better, be honest and real. Not by ki yaar yeh bakwas kar raha hai, jhoot bol raha hai, chilla raha hai. Point yeh nahi hai. Woh aapke channel ko bandh kar denge.

(In Bigg Boss or any other show, you have to play the right game. It should not be like that one can do whatever comes to their mind for the sake of TRP. From Day-1, I have never seen the response you are getting. To make it bigger and better, be honest and real. One should not say nonsense, speak lies and shout. This is not the point. They will shut your channel).”

Salman added, “Jo mujhe kehna tha, indirectly maine keh diya (What I wanted to say, indirectly, I have spoken).”

Republic TV’s Arnab Goswami had lambasted Salman Khan for not speaking up on the Bollywood drug case and the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. In a clip that went viral, Arnab Goswami was seen screaming out loud asking Salman whether the superstar was in hiding. Short of directly implicating Salman Khan in the Bollywood drug case, Arnab Goswami had skewered the actor for no one knows what. On Sunday, it was Salman’s turn.

Republic TV and its managing director and editor-in-chief, Arnab Goswami, have been in the spotlight for bribing people to watch the Republic channels. In case curiously filed against India Today, the police investigation showed that it was Republic, not India Today, that was bribing people who had BARC viewership meters installed in their homes.

Republic has denied the charge. Republic CEO and some other officials have been interrogated in the case.
