In the drug case that has popped up in Sandalwood, popular television anchor Anushree has faced the interrogation of CCB.
In a scathing remark made by the lawyer Prashant Sambargi, he has accused Anushree of calling up an influential personality to rescue her from arrest. Sambargi refused to name the personality but called him a ‘sugar daddy’. In a social media post, he stated that to evade the arrest, Anushree might start a new drama and claim that she has been infected with COVID-19.
On October 2nd, Ansuhree posted a video on her social media account where she said that she is not guilty or accused in the drug case. She also said she was pained by the reports circulated in the media and the way she has been portrayed.
Kumaraswamy Reacts
Former Karnataka Chief Minister Kumaraswamy also reacted to the fiasco and demanded that the name of the ex-Chief Minister whose name has popped up in the drug case to be revealed. He also questioned the credibility of the information that is being reported in the media. He said,
“I have been following reports in the media about the ongoing investigation into drug cases. Every day, there are reports stating that children of politicians, businessmen, and influential people are involved and no action is being taken against them. Fictional stories are also emerging every day.”
Even the former chief minister acknowledged the reports that anchor Anushree has called up influential political figures in the state the moment she was summoned by the CCB. Many reports in the media suggest that one of the political figures contacted by Anushree is a former Chief Minister of the state. Questioning this, Kumaraswamy said,
“Which officer has given such information to the media? On what basis a former Chief Minister is being named? Who is he? His name has to be revealed.”
