Actor-Politician Ravi Kishan has said that if the charges against Anurag Kashyap are proved, then serious action must be taken against the filmmaker. He also said that he will raise this point during the Question Hour in the Parliament.
Ravi Kishan and Anurag Kashyap already at loggerheads
Ravi Kishan and Anurag Kashyap are already at loggerheads in the last few days. After Ravi Kishan talked about Jaya Bachchan’s statements in the Parliament, Anurag Kashyap said that Ravi Kishan is himself a habitual smoker. The filmmaker further said that the BJP MP used to smoke drugs on his film sets.
To this, Ravi Kishan replied, asking Anurag to think 1000 times before speaking anything. He even said that he felt sad because Anurag was not supporting him in the war against drugs.
Ravi Kishan now turns to the #MeToo allegations against Anurag
Yesterday, Payal Ghosh accused Anurag Kashyap of sexual harassment. She has even confirmed that a formal complaint would be registered soon. The actress even asked PM Modi for his support in the matter.
Ravi Kishan opined that if the charges against Anurag are proved, then serious action must be taken. He said that “all doors for the probe are open for such cases.” Further, the Bhojpuri actor said that he would take up the issue during the Question Hour in the Parliament. His focus would be on harassment of struggling female artists and divulged that he will use the example of Payal Ghosh to support his statement.
Meanwhile, supporters are now queuing up for either side of the parties involved. While Kangana Ranaut has already declared her support for Payal Ghosh, Anurag Kashyap’s friend Tapsee Pannu has announced that she would stand by her friend during the difficult times. With the complaint likely to go official soon, it needs to be seen which direction this case would be heading to.
