Ever since the death of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, popular Bollywood producer and filmmaker Karan Johar has been in the spotlight and the target of criticism on social media.
The filmmaker has not been active on social media in the midst of the hate and has refrained from making any statements or posts. Even during the promotions of his film Gunjan Saxena, the filmmaker stayed mum on social media not allowing anything to escalate. He once appeared on the posts of Neetu Kapoor in the celebration of her birthday for which he was again trolled brutally.
Karan Johar has been trolled before for his preference for prioritizing star kids over “talented” actors. He was first called out by Kangana Ranaut in his talk show Koffee With Karan. The nepotism debate kicked off there. Even though the debate had fizzed out, it came to prominence, thanks to Kangana again, for saying that nepotism and “Bollywood mafia” killed Sushant Singh Rajput. For over a month after the actor’s death, the media exploited the nepotism angle until Sushant’s father lodged a complaint against Rhea Chakraborty for the abetment of suicide.

Now, the filmmaker who is on the radar of social media hate is being spotted of even minute activities on social media. Recently, Karan Johar commented on the picture of Anushka Sharma where she and her husband Virat Kohli announced that they are expecting their first child. As soon as the filmmaker commented, social media users exploded with hate comments responding to him.
Some users questioned him bluntly for his silence over the Sushant Singh Rajput fiasco. They criticized him for being silent and not demanding justice for the late actor. Here are some of the hate comments.
