Expect Pre-Monsoon Evening Showers in Bengaluru Till Thursday

It is all showers and rains in Namma Bengaluru from last one-and-a-half months. The Urban district received a total of 3.56 mm of rainfall in this tour of duty, which ranged from 0 mm to 50 mm. The city has witnessed a brief spell of heavy rainfall on Sunday evening and it is said to continue until Thursday. IMD (The Indian Meteorological Department) has fore-token rain or thunderstorms towards the evening or bedtime hours, every day till Thursday.

Waterlogging and Complaints of Trees getting uprooted

As always, The Bruhat Mahanagara Palike received several complaints of waterlogging and trees being uprooted in the city. Vijayanagar being the prominent area reported while Okalipuram Railway Bridge suffered from heavy waterlogging.

50 mm of Rain expected for Bengaluru

The IMD’s predictions made on Sunday afternoon says that there will be heavy rains in parts of Southern Karnataka during next 24 hours. Bengaluru may expect 50 mm of rainfall while parts of West Bengaluru, such as RR Nagar with 37 mm and Nagarbhavi with 36 mm.

The City saw strong winds accompanied by a moderate downpour in Mysore Road, Kengeri, Electronic City while hailstones were reported at Deepanjali Nagar and Rajaraeshwari Nagar. Bengaluru has been receiving Pre-monsoon showers since April and is expected to continue till Thursday.
