Throwback To The Time When Mahesh Bhatt’s Son Admired 26/11 Mastermind David Headley

Popular filmmaker in the Hindi Film Industry, Mahesh Bhatt has been in the news for his alleged involvement in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. An old article of his son’s link with terrorist David Headley has surfaced the article.

Mahesh Bhatt’s son Rahul Bhatt had links with terrorist David Headley who is said to have been the mastermind behind the 2008 Mumbai attacks. In an interview with United Kingdom’s Channel 4, Rahul Bhatt opened up and said,

“I’m convinced Headley was working for the Americans, for the FBI. I’d nicknamed him Agent Headley. It was the Americans’ deepest wish to infiltrate al-Qaeda and David did exactly that for them. I had a hunch then and I have a hunch now that he was an American agent of some sort.”

The Email Two Weeks Later

The interview dates back to 2010 and was published in India Today. In the interview, Bhatt went onto praise Headley who has been accused of killing several lives in India and abroad. He said,

“He was a great guy. He was charming, had a great sense of humor, and was caring, sensitive, and very well-informed. I feel hurt, I liked hanging out with him because he could teach things about my areas of interest, be it guns, intelligence, spy-craft.”

Rahul Bhatt is said to have been friends with Headley when Headley visited India prior to the 26th November 2008 Mumbai attacks. They met at a gym where Headley would visit. Rahul Bhatt also revealed the email he received by Headley just after the terror attack. The email was sent on the 11th of December 2008. The email read,

“Hey guys, so sorry to see what has happened in Mumbai. We should go over there and kick their ass.”
