The team of Central Bureau of Investigation has arrived in the city of Mumbai to begin their investigation in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. The department has formulated five teams to carry out different operations.

According to a report in the Republic TV, the Central Bureau of Investigation has split into five to carry different operations as a part of the investigation process. The team that landed in the city of Mumbai on Friday has acquired evidence from the Mumbai police. From the post mortem report, forensic report, autopsy report, Viscera report, statement copies of 56 persons interrogated by the Mumbai Police, the CCTV footage to other documents, the CBI has acquired it all.

The 5 Teams of CBI

Here is what each team of the CBI will investigate in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s case.

  1. One team of the CBI will re-create the crime scene along with the help of the top forensic expert Sudhir Gupta. Sudhir Gupta was previously involved in the investigation of murder cases of Sheena Bora and Sunanda Pushkar.
  2. The second team of the CBI has reached the Bandra Police station in a bid to formally take over the case from the Mumbai police. The team has reportedly met the Deputy Commissioner of Police Abhishek Trimurkhe and will also interrogate all the officials who were involved in the investigation of the case.
  3. The third team of the CBI will interrogate all the eyewitnesses who were present on the spot of the incident. Apart from that, the team might also interrogate Rhea Chakraborty and her family.
  4. The fourth team will explore the Bollywood angle of the case and will interrogate the people in the Hindi film industry whose names have popped up in the case.
  5. The fifth and final team is in charge of analyzing the documents that have been gathered in the investigation. The team is also likely to re-analyze the post mortem and viscera reports.
