The Supreme Court on Wednesday pronounced the verdict in the case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death and ordered a CBI inquiry into the case.
The court observed that the Mumbai police have not registered an FIR but only an accidental death report and said that the police have limited agency to investigate the case. On the other hand, the court said that the Bihar police can investigate the case as it has filed a full-fledged FIR in the case.
As soon as the judgment was pronounced, Arnab Goswami went on Republic TV and pumped up his channel’s contribution in the judgment. He said,
“Big moment. Congratulations to us. This is an incredible moment in our country’s history.”
Twitter, on the other hand, pointed out that Goswami sought revenge as he was earlier grilled for 12 hours by the Mumbai police. A twitter user wrote,
“Arnab was grilled for a day, he grilled them back for 50 days and rubbed their faces in the mud. What revenge.”
Here’s how Twitter reacted.
