Will Law break the jinx?

Till now, Amazon Prime has had three direct releases. The first one was Jyotika’s Ponmagal Vandhal, which did not have great reception from the audience. The movie was rejected, citing slow pace and cliched elements, and underwhelming court scenes.

Next up was a Bollywood biggie starring Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushman Khurana. Gulabo Sitabo was yet again criticized by the audience for lame writing and unlikeable characters. However, certain sections of the audience did fall in love with the movie. Nevertheless, Amazon Prime could not fulfill its expectations with this movie too.

The latest and the third release is the Tamil film Penguin, featuring National Award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh. This movie, too, was bashed for the writing and inadequate drama.

So, this brings us to the next Amazon offering to release this Friday. Being produced by PRK Productions, the movie is coming from a banner that has a 100% track record at the box-office. Moreover, PRK’s films so far have impressed with their content, and Law will likely follow suit.

Moreover, Raghu Samarth is a talented individual who has his style in conceiving creative content. He is also backed by some skilled technicians. Most importantly, the expectations surrounding Law will be far lower than the other movies. With Puneeth being the only big name involved, Law could have the advantage of not having to worry about the audience’s expectations.

To conclude, Prime is yet to really kickstart the promotions for Law and hence, it will only be then that we will have an idea as to where Law will be heading.
