Awesome and Must-Visit Parks in Bangalore
Defence Colony Children’s Park
If you are living in Indiranagar then you might be knowing about this Children’s park which is largely divided into three parts. The park is pretty spacious with amenities like badminton, rope bridge, tyre and rope swings. Blessed with lush green across, this Defence colony park will let you beat the city rush while giving a healthy headroom for your kids and family.
Open: 8 AM – 12 PM and 3 PM – 7 PM
Where: 3rd Main Road, Defence Colony, Indiranagar.
Chandavalliya Thota
This is local’s favorite point located in one of the beautiful shades of the city called Jayanagar. To an extent, you can call this as an amusement park as it has something or the other for kids to have fun with. One can find a good collection of swings, rope ladder, horizontal ladder, skating stone, etc. As it is located in Jayanagar, the park by default is all with shades and healthy light. There is also a small Internet cafe where you will get chocolates, juice, and food items to satisfy your evening hunger.

Jawahar Bal Bhavan
You know about Cubbon Park but do you have an idea about this Bal Bhawan dedicated to Children? Yes, it is a Children’s play area which is full of joy and amusement. One of the main attractions of Bal Bhawan is the Putani Express Toy train ride which is open to everyone. Moving around, you will find an Aquarium maintained by the Government which is a Must-Visit if you are here with Kids.

JP Park
This is one of the popular parks of Bangalore which is divided into three sections with a Rock Garden and all Green around. Fish coming to shore to catch the food thrown by visitors is an amusement in its own way. To meet up your expectations, the park is blessed with a wide walking path for runners and joggers. Simply put, it is an Instagram friendly place in all its natural grandeur.
The major attraction of JP Park is its Musical Fountain. There are two shows (7 PM and 7:45 PM) where you see water dancing to the peppy tunes played. Make sure you grab the right place so that you can take the pictures and enjoy the show to its fullest.

Nadavana Children’s Park
Nadavana is a park with a light fountain in the center which looks amazing in the dawn, exactly like electric fireworks. This is one of the newest parks in the city maintained by BBMP housing 14 different types of equipment to keep your children engaged in the fun activities. After JP Park, this is one more option you have in Jayanagar.

Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium (Science Park)
A well-known Park in Bangalore, a planetarium which is also called as Science Park of the city. This is a place where you can known science concepts and it is nothing less than any other fun activity. If you are here in the evening then you can hop on to Indira Gandhi musical fountain, walk around and spend some good time with your kids.

Bugle Rock (Rock Garden of the City)
Bugle rock is not just the mere rock formations. It is bestowed with a beautiful park, waterfalls, and fountains. It is one of the frequently visited places by locales, nearly 750 to 1000 per day and thus credited with a name “walkers paradise.” This is counted one among the 26 National Geographical monuments in India which lie in the archaean stratigraphic division of the Indian shield.

Sankey Tank Park
One of our favorites, Sankey tank park looks amazingly beautiful in the lustful evenings of Bengaluru. People come here to take a brisk walk along the lake’s edge and to embrace the momentous climate of Namma Bengaluru. An interesting sight about this park is the pigeons and ducks who wander around. You’ll love it for sure and also, never mind to take thousands of pictures if we are not exaggerating. There are two entrances to this park, one from Malleswaram and other from Sadashiva Nagar. Make time for Sankey tank park and thank us later.

Mini Forest Children’s Park
Just behind the Gopalan Mall on the east side of Bannerghatta Road, you will find this beautiful park which is actually divided into 3 separate parks. One is dedicated to Children and other two are simply spread into the dense green with benches around to sit and gossip. Meanwhile, if you feel like eating something then you have MTR and other street side attractions, just across the street.

Ranadheera Kanteerava Park
Ranadheera Kanteerava park which is located near South End Circle is worth a mention. It is there just behind the Wall Clock Tower of South End circle (to be precise) and is attracting a lot of visitors. Spread in 2.25 acres of land, the park is bestowed with awe-inspiring statues of Dr. Rajkumar, Kings and Poets of Karnataka along with beautiful artwork around. One can also enjoy the fountain, water spots, and beautifully built architectures – all to make your evening memorable.

Big Banyan Tree or Dodda Aalada Mara
You might have heard about this. The Big Banyan Tree which is spread over three acres has a history of more than 400 years. It is a beautiful place where you can go when you are around.
