The loyalty and love of dogs are something that surpasses that of human beings very often. An incident has come to light in China which has proved to be the perfect example of the above statement.
Dog’s owner commits suicide on May 30th
On May 30th, a dog followed its owner to the Yangtze Bridge in Wuhan, where the owner later committed suicide. It has been revealed that the dog waited for 4 days on the same bridge for its owner to return.
Photos were taken by a resident
A resident, known by the surname Xu, took the photographs of the dog which was sitting on the pavement of the bridge. He noticed it waiting for its owner for four continuous days. But, with an intention to adopt it, when he tried to come closer to the dog, the canine ran away.
After Mr. Xu informed the news to the concerned authorities, Du Fan, director of Wuhan Small Animal Protection Association, started tracing the dog with the help of local volunteers. Even the residents living close to the bridge confirmed that the dog was on the bridge for four days.
Mr. Du later said that the volunteers are now searching for the dog. He also requested the local residents to report if they found the animal. As of now, the volunteers and officials are still tracking the faithful dog. Hopefully, they can find it at the earliest.
