Kannadigas in UAE
It is not a surprise move as she has done enough to be worthy of this award. Very few know that Sudha Murthy has single-handedly preached the move towards corporate social responsibility (CSR), she has served for almost a decade to change the lifestyle of children in rural Karnataka by providing them free food and education. She is also an author with 92 books in almost every Indian language to her account.
Kannada Ratna award is presented by the Kannadigas in UAE as they celebrate the Kannada Rajyotsava every year. In this program, a dance group will arrive from Bengaluru to present the ‘Janapada Nrithya’ folk dance in the event. Along with it, there will be various cultural programs and laughter poetry to rejoice the crowd. Last year, the Award was conferred on Nityotsava poet Prof. K.S. Nisar Ahmed.
