The bottle cap challenge originated on 25th June has generated insane popularity all over social media. Celebrities from all over the world are taking this challenge and passing it to others. Ever since Jason Statham convinced Akshay Kumar to take upon the bottle cap challenge, a lot of other celebrities have followed. Former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh who was well aware of the trend took the challenge himself and decided to do it in his own unique way.
Yuvraj takes the challenge, but there’s a twist
Punjab left-hander does the bottle challenge but adds cricket to the challenge. In a video posted on his Twitter account, Yuvraj is seen with a bat playing cricket in the balcony. He drives the ball towards the bottle and knocks it over and removes the cap. He is seen playing with a red tennis ball in the video hitting the bottle right on top where the cap is generally placed.
Here’s my version of the #bottlecapchallenge . The challenge goes out to @BrianLara @SDhawan25 @henrygayle and @sachin_rt who has to take this challenge as a left hander ? pic.twitter.com/fdZXSUEXJb

After he was done with the challenge, he then went on nominating the greatest batting legends Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara and Shikar Dhawan for taking up the bottle-cap challenge. In fact, he also dared the ‘Universe Boss’ Chris Gayle of West Indies to take the challenge.
However, the 2011 World Cup Man of the Series, added a twist in the challenge where he has asked all his nominees to take the challenge as a left-handed batsman instead of right-handed as these batsmen usually do except Shikar Dhawan. Now it will be interesting to see how these legends respond to the former cricketer.
Interestingly, the Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan, who is currently out of the tournament due to injury has noticed the challenge given by his teammate and has accepted to do it. He said, ” Challenge accepted, Pajhi. B-).”

Since Yuvi’s tweet went viral on twitter some rejoiced the cricketer and some criticized him for wasting water by saying that, while the whole world is facing a water crisis, people are wasting the water for a bottle challenge.
