Cricket Fans Slammed Sanjay Manjrekar ; Petition Started To Remove Him From Commentary

India on Tuesday beat Bangladesh to become the only team after Australia to qualify for World Cup Semifinals. Winning the toss and batting first, Men in blue looked comfortable in the beginning to pull up the highest opening partnership in the World Cup. By the end of 25th over it looked like India could reach up to 350 mark, but due to the pitch getting old, the middle order struggled to time the ball well, which led the team to score only 314 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.

However, Cricketer-turned-commentator Sanjay Manjrekar was not happy about India’s batting attack at death overs and criticized team’s batting credibility. After his poor commentary, people blasted out at the commentator and wanted ICC to throw him away as he was being unfair towards certain players.

“The biased commentary,” says the twitter

The Men in Blues once again failed to produce runs at the death overs as MS Dhoni was unable to take on the Bangladesh bowlers. In the meantime, Manjrekar tried to over criticize the Indian players, especially MS Dhoni which led to people disparage his commentary skills.

Yesterday, several cricket fans took to Twitter to complain about his commentary. The social media was soon flooded with tweets taking a shot at Manjrekar for his commentary. Many called him to be a biased commentary, while some questioned his own playing record which was not that great.
