Sarfaraz Ahmed and his team have only one game left, which they have to win by a comprehensive margin to qualify for the semis. This happened when the host England manage to beat India by 31 runs keeping their semi-final hopes strong. Following India’s defeat, the former Pakistan captain Waqar Younis has questioned the world’s number 1 team’s “sportsmanship” after the two-time champions faced their first defeat of the ongoing World Cup to England. This defeat now has left Pakistan’s chances of making the semifinals hanging in balance.
Waqar Younis questioned team India’ ability
The whole Pakistan was depending on their neighbors, who had earlier enjoyed an unbeaten run in the tournament, to defeat the host England. This was because India’s win would have increased the chances of Sarfaraz Ahmed’s men to make the semifinals. However, the prayers of Pakistan couldn’t reach their neighbor. Chasing 337 on Sunday, India managed to score only 306/5 in their full 50 overs for their maiden defeat of the tournament to England.
The former right-arm fast bowler who captained Pakistan team has expressed his disappointment with the Indian team and questioned their sportsmanship. In a tweet, he said, “It’s not who you are.. What you do in life defines who you are.. Me not bothered if Pakistan gets to the semis or not but one thing is for sure.. Sportsmanship of few Champions got tested and they failed badly.”

After this tweet, Indian fans fired at former Pakistan coach and roasted him for his allegations.
How can you make such allegations ?
When you team plays badly consistently at the start of the CWC that time u didn’t suspect any foul play ??
Our team plays one bad game & All Hell Breaks Lose On PAK Twitter ??♀️

Very irresponsible tweet. Who are u pass such judgement? If ur team suspect any foul play, lodge a complaint with ICC, let them investigate. There are hundreds of instances where ur team have collapsed like a pack of cards from a winning situation. Shall we pass the judgement?

Waqar as a bowler you need to back woakes bowled a dream spell with archer. Let's not take away credit of Eng bowlers. Also toss played a vital part. Accept your short comings, don't be an imaginary victim! FYI the team score 278 runs in 40 overseas if u take away 10 over beg.

Waqar. I've got a huge amount of respect for you as you know. But that tweet is inflammatory and quite frankly irresponsible.
As soon as Hardik was out India knew chances of a win were gone and protected their NRR.
It's a tournament.

Currently sitting at 5th spot in World Cup 2019 points table, Pakistan has to win its next game against Bangladesh with a bigger margin. But if the men in green have to qualify then either England will have to lose their next match against New Zealand or the Indian team will have to lose its remaining two matches against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka by big margins.
