Ayushmann Khurrana’s film Article 15 has hit the theatres on 28th June. Directed by Anubhav Saha, this movie is a crime drama film based on Article 15 Indian of the Indian Constitution that prohibits discrimination on the grounds of race, religion, caste, sex or place of birth. Ayushmann is in as Ayan Ranjan, an IPS Officer who has been newly posted to UP village. The story is based on a real event on the 2014 Badaun gang rape.

All about the movie

Article 15 is based on the gruesome Badaun rapes in Uttar Pradesh, where two girls were found hanging from the tree. Here, we are taken to the grim Lalgaon in UP, where people wear their caste on their sleeves. Police officer Ayan Ranjan (Ayushmann Khurrana)  is a man who has “grown up in different countries”, and such matters are impossible to understand for him and has to solve a case.
