Shikhar Dhawan Posts An emotional Message After Being Ruled Out Of World Cup, Said The Show Must Go On

On the latest update, India opener Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out of the 2019 edition of the World Cup as he is not in a position to recover any time soon. He suffered an injury after being hit by Pat Cummins delivery during his 109-ball 117 knock against Australia. Dhawan will be replaced by Wicketkeeper Batsman Rishab Pant for the ongoing tournament. However, the left-hander posted a video in social media which is very emotional.

Official confirms the news

Earlier BCCI had officially announced that Shikhar Dhawan will not be a part of the Indian cricket team because of a fractured left thumb. He was not in any position to recover any time soon. The departure of one of the best batsman of the team is really disheartening, for the team as well as Indian fans. Dhawan will be replaced by wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant in India’s 15-member squad after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) sent an official request to the International Cricket Council (ICC) for a replacement.
