Royal Challengers Banglore had a horrible start this season which saw them losing as many as six consecutive games in a row. They tried everything they could do to better their team’s performance, but nothing went with Virat Kohli-led team’s favor. As a result, RCB was the first team to crash out of the tournament. However, now it seems the former South African opener is very much keen to lead the RCB team for the Next Year.
Herschelle Gibbs Proposal
Indeed it was another dismal season for the Royal Challengers Bangalore as they finished in the bottom half of the points table with 11 points in 14 games with five wins and a draw. Although, it seems the former South African cricketer Herschelle Gibbs has offered to help RCB by coaching them. Gibbs proposed it on social media and said he is available if they are looking for a coach.
Following the win against the SRH, the official handle of RCB thanked the fans for their support despite the team finishing in the bottom half of the table. RCB’s Twitter post read: “Chinnaswamy & Bengaluru: THANK YOU. You Challengers give us goosebumps. Neev illa andhre, naavu yenu alla. Without you guys, we’re nothing.”

Gibbs Got Trolled
Replying to the post, Gibbs said: “If you guys need a coach, I am available. However, he soon deleted the tweet. But, it was too late for him, as fans already got their eyes on it. A fan tried to poke fun at Gibbs after his offer but he took the banter in good spirits. The user wrote: “They don’t need one more south African surely.”

To this, Gibbs replied: “Well they’ve tried every other one haven’t they.”
Well they’ve tried every other one haven’t they?

Earlier, before this season, RCB had sacked the former coach Daniel Vettori and appointed Gary Kirsten as the head coach for the 2019 IPL edition. But even the former India coach, who played a big role in their World Cup 2011 victory, couldn’t do any wonders for them and the result remained the same.
As a matter of fact, the RCB management has not yet spoken about Kirsten’s future with the team, but initially, it won’t be surprising if he manages to hold on to the coach’s post next season as well.
