This Sunday we witnessed a jaw-dropping match between RCB and CSK. Mahendra Singh Dhoni almost stole all the breath away from RCB fans for the following match. The last ball decider, where CSK required 2 runs from 1 ball, but unfortunately it was Parthiv Patel who turned out to be a CSK party crasher.
However, with CSK needing 26 runs from the last over, Dhoni was able to smash away 24 of the first five deliveries against Umesh Yadav, but unfortunately, he couldn’t connect the final ball and later saw wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel impose a run-out when he tried to steal a single Via bye expecting it to be a tie.
MS gave a massive scare says, Kohli
The skipper of Royal Challengers Banglore Virat Kohli had not at all expected a merciless MS Dhoni to miss the final delivery when CSK needed to get two runs off that ball to win the following match. “Nevertheless, we were outstanding with the ball till the 19th over mark.
Defending 160 on that sort of pitch and the amount of dew that was not helping the bowlers, in spite of that, we had an outstanding effort. For the last ball, that was the last thing I would’ve expected to happen. It feels good to win a game by a very small margin. We’ve lost a couple by small margins. MS did what he does best and he gave us all a massive scare.” said Virat at the post-match presentation ceremony.
Kohli then praised the young bowlers who were Navdeep Saini and Yuzvendra Chahal who showed a lot of composure playing against a side like CSK. “We have said a lot of things in the nine games. But if you don’t have confidence, none of those things matter,” he revealed. “In the last couple of games, we just said go out there and do your thing.”
Even though RCB managed to win the last game, it still remains at the bottom of the eight-team points table. Whereas, with six points on the card, after three victories and seven losses, Kohli is still quite confident of a major turnaround in his team’s favor.
