Dale Steyn All Set To Travel To India. Will He Be A Part Of RCB? Is This The Last Hope For The Franchise?

Royal Challengers Bangalore lost their 6th successive match in the 2019 Indian Premier League. So far, it has been a dismal run of form for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League 2019. They failed to taste success at least once in the tournament so far. In between, it seems like Virat Kohli-led side is set to get the boost in the form of Dale Steyn. However, no official news has been made by the franchise.

A Ray of Hope For RCB Fans

Now it seems, that the RCB owners and team management has decided to avail the services of one of their former team players in Dale Steyn. He recently shared the image of his Indian visa which shows him having multiple entries permission and reason is given “to play” while the rest of the thing is blocked out with an ‘E’  visible at the end. The only franchise to end with an E in their name is Royal Challengers Bangalore and it points that Steyn is shortly going to join the red brigade soon.

Dale Steyn

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s IPL season has endured its worst start in the history of the league. Virat Kohli’s men have lost all of the first six matches of season 12 so far. Be it the performance with the bat, ball or on the field, there hardly has been an area where the franchise isn’t required to improve. The bowling department, however, could receive a big boost if South African speedster Dale Steyn joins them for the ongoing season.

Fan Based Theory

Theories suggest that it could be Nathan Coulter-Nile, in whose place Steyn has been called up by the Kohli-led side. It was reported that the Australian pacer could join Kohli’s men in Bengaluru by April 13 and be available for the match against Kings XI Punjab. But unfortunately, he might have got ruled out of the tournament. However, Steyn arrival could be a change in a plan.

Dale Steyn

Dale Steyn debuted in IPL for the Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise and has played most of his cricket either for RCB or Sunrisers Hyderabad. He last played in the league in 2016 for Gujarat Lions and has missed the 2017 and 2018 seasons either to injury or due to lack interests from the franchise owners. Perhaps, it could be the suggestion from AB de Villiers, who always termed Dale Steyn as one of the best in the business. With RCB failing to show their class in the bowling department, the addition of in-form Dale Steyn could be a brilliant choice.
