Yes, you read that right. Our Virat has twenty-five centuries to his name in International cricket. Entire teams of different countries fall short of this mind-blowing figure. Our neighbor and cricket rival Pakistan have twenty-four centuries since 2017. The Indian captain has also swept entire countries away with his ODI performance and records. He has scored 15 tons since 2017 in the ODI format which again leaves entire teams such as Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh far behind. The Australian team has managed to equal Virat’s score with 15 centuries.

Another game, another century!

The domination of this one man in the cricketing world cannot be denied. Virat Kohli keeps the centuries coming with almost every series. The batting maestro shows no signs of stopping. He has the highest average of around 59 and also shows consistent performance regardless of the batting format. King Kohli reigns supreme in ODIs, Tests and T20 formats.
With about forty ODI centuries, Kohli is just the second cricketer to ever cross forty centuries with the first being none other than Sachin Tendulkar. Kohli is also in the record books for scoring the fastest batsman to score 10,000 runs in the ODI format.

Can he surpass God’s record?

18th of March, 2012 was a very important day for the cricketing world. This was the day Sachin Tendulkar, often known as the God of cricket played his last ODI. In the very same game, while fans were nostalgic and sad over Sachin’s retirement, another legend had silently appeared to take the baton and dominate the cricketing world with his 11th century. Sachin Tendulkar was a great cricketer – no doubt of it. But it is just a matter of time before Kohli surpasses Sachin Tendulkar with respect to ODI centuries. We wish him and the Indian team the best of luck for the upcoming world cup. The hearts of over a billion people yearn for their success.
