This December, the much-awaited KGF is hitting the screens on 21st and it is a known fact that the expectation is invariably huge. In this context, if we look at the Sandalwood releases in the month, we have only four including KGF. (current update). The news is that most of the movies have postponed their release making a way for KGF to go Big. Be it Shiv Rajkumar starring Kavacha or Suni’s directorial Bazaar or to an extent, Puneeth’s Natasarvabhouma. In other words, it is good for them as well from the business point of view. Having said that, here are the Kannada movies you can look forward to in this last month of 2018.
Orange
Being the first Kannada movie to be acquired by Amazon prime prior to its release, Orange is directed by Prashanth Raj. Starring Ganesh and Priya Anand in the lead, Orange is expected to come out on 7th December as a Romantic entertainer.
Bhairava Geetha
A bilingual movie jointly produced by Ram Gopal Verma and Bhaskara Rashi is ready for release in Kananda and Telugu simultaneously. It is said to be a raw action comedy thriller with Dhananjaya playing the lead role. The movie is directed by Siddhartha. It all set to hit the theatres on December 7th, apparently on the day of Telangana elections.
Mataash
Having directed by SD Arvind, who earlier made Jugari and Last Bus, Mataash is said to be a comical thriller. If you don’t know then Arvind is a grandson of late legendary actor Narasimha Raju. Going with a popular Kannada slang, Mataash is set against the backdrop of demonetization told in a satire way. It is coming on this December 7th.
Ananthu Vs Nusrat
Ananthu V/s Nusrat is a directorial debut for Sudheer Shanbhogue that features Vinay Rajkumar as a lawyer named Ananth Krishna Kramadharitthaya. It is said to be a love story between a judge and a lawyer which is hitting the screens on 28th December.
KGF – Chapter 1
One of the biggest releases of the year, KGF will surely help you end the year on the best possible note. This drama is set in the 1970s when a rebellion started against the oppressors of the downtrodden. A movie has taken Kannada movie to a different level because trailer broke several records, this is something you cannot afford to miss.
