The current Indian gold reserve is of a total 626 tonnes. This stands as a great discovery which could be very beneficial for the State of UP and India.

But it is not just gold that the officials are keen on. They are also exploring the possibility of rare minerals like uranium in Bundelkhand and Vindhyan regions of UP which are said to be rich in gold, diamond, platinum, phosphate, China clay, quartz and many more.

The exploration of the vast goldmines and other minerals will give a big boost to the state’s economy and revenue. Apart from providing both skilled and unskilled jobs, this will also lead to the much-needed development of the backward regions of these two districts of UP.
